40k Charity Event
A CALL TO ARMS
Northern Boards is hosting this charity event to raise money for Bears of Hope, who provide Cuddle Cot’s for parents who have lost a baby.
In a moment of incomparable sorrow, these cots provide vital time for grieving parents to make memories with their little one, before saying goodbye.
The WA Warhammer community travels far and wide, supporting events and spearheading activities in every game system.
I have been a part of this community for twenty five years, and I will argue without compromise that this is the best Warhammer community in the world.
I am making a personal plea with this event. I ask the members of our community to show their quality once again. Every contribution matters. You can help by attending our event or making a donation via the links at the end of this Players Pack.
This tournament will be incredible fun, and I’ve written a set of rules inspired by the amazing efforts of Danny and Kang in previous years. The more you donate, the more you can re-roll failed dice, bring units back from the dead and even force your opponents to re-roll successes!
This is a cause very dear to my heart. Earlier this year, members of my chosen family suffered the most devastating of losses. Now, they seek to help other parents who endure such tragedy by raising money for these invaluable Cuddle Cots.
If you are able, please donate. I can’t wait to see you all at the event.
-Kurgan

ARMY LISTS
Composition:
The total value of an Army List must be 2000pts.
Each member of a team must have an individual list, totalling no more than 1000pts
Players must ensure that their lists are event-legal. In order to achieve this, the Warhammer 40,000: The App must be used for confirming lists are legal and lists must be shown to your opponents before the game begins.
NOTE: Players are only expected to present lists with the Warhammer 40,000: The App and may use their Codex’s/New Recruit etc. for unit rules. Therefore, a subscription to Warhammer 40,000: The App IS NOT REQUIRED for participation in this event.
When submitting your list, each player must nominate their:
Warlord choice
Enhancements
Wargear options selected/changed from the base Data Sheet
Display Point values
Designate which Leaders are attached to Bodyguard Units
As this is a doubles event, both players in a team will need to present their army lists to opposing teams, at the beginning of each round.
GAME STRUCTURE:
Games will follow the standard 11th edition Warhammer 40,000 rules. This applies to Terrain Layouts, objectives and all other official rules for competitive play. The necessary changes for the format are listed below:
Teams function as a ‘player’ for the purposes of deployment and scoring.
Team members share turns and turn phases.
Each player within a team manages their army independently and the respective armies within a team cannot interact under any circumstances.
Command Points are generated by each player independently.
Teams cannot use the same Stratagem in the same phase.
Rules that dictate an initiative order, treat a team as a single player. (For example, both players in Team A have units in combat with the ‘Fights First’ rule. Team A would activate both units, choosing in which order the Units are activated.)
During each game, the nominated ‘Squad Sergeant’ from each team must use the Warhammer 40,000:The App to determine the Layout for both teams.
